Next stop further east to Seljalandsfoss – a beautiful waterfall.
We will take a walk behind it.
We drive further to the south coast and our next stop at Þorvaldseyri visitors center and watch a documentary film about the farm family living at Þorvaldseyri during and after the eruption in Eyjafjallajökull in 2010.
We then drive to Vík í Mýrdal – the southernmost village in Iceland.
Our next stop will be at the beautiful black lava beach Reynisfjara.
Next short stop is the Skógafoss waterfall.
We then visit The Secret Lagoon which is the oldest pool in Iceland surrounded by hot-springs. It had been closed for many years, but reopened in the summer of 2014 with new dressing rooms and a bar. This is still “a hidden treasure”. You will have the chance to take a nice hot bath here.
